The Mercedes Benz Atego 1325F Dual Pump Ladder (DPL) is the standard fire appliance deployed to all 999 emergency calls by the London Fire Brigade. There are currently 102 in frontline operation, with 45 in reserve and 25 used for training purposes.

* Ladders carried are dependent on whether the appliance is based at a single or dual appliance station.  In the case of dual appliance stations, 1 appliance will carry a 13.5m ladder while the other carries a 9m ladder.

Some of the Mercedes Benz Atego appliances currently in use have an LG designation at the end of their fleet numbers.  This designates Low Gantry and refers to the fact that the ladder gantry is lower to allow the appliance to be housed in a fire station with a low appliance bay roof.
